- If you have contents requested; and the contents are already in the record, no additional action is required.
- If the IZ record in Alma does not have contents, first check OCLC again. Content notes may have been added since the record was downloaded. If so, overlay.
- If there is a NZ record which we want to use, but lacks contents, upgrade the record, but also make sure that the OCLC record is also upgraded, if it is not.
- If the catalog record, is otherwise in good condition yet lacks content notes in OCLC, add them*. Refer the book to Scott D. so that he can check them, then the title can be exported or overlayed in Alma as the case may be.
- If the catalog record is very low grade, it probably needs the attention of the original cataloger. Refer to the cataloger (who will add contents in the course of the upgrade).
- If there is no record for the item in OCLC, see previous sentence.
