Checking Patron Requests

Patrons can check the status of their requests themselves by logging into their ILL accounts.

Or we can do it:

1. Log on to ILLiad.
2. In the Search Requests area (top left), enter the patron’s username in the User Information search box.
3. Use the buttons to the right (i.e., the paper/pencil and cancellation sign) to select the search parameters.  For example:  to search for cancelled requests, click the cancellation sign, and then click “Search.“
4. Double-click on the relevant record to open it.
5. Check the OCLC status in the top right box to determine the request’s status.  (The History tab may also show useful information.)

Note:  Remind patrons that they can also check the status of requests by logging on to their ILL accounts and “tracking” their items.
