Darius joined the Clemson Libraries staff in 2007 as a Library Technical Assistant in Acquisitions. In 2013, he transferred to the Library Technology unit as manager of the Digital Imaging Lab where he oversees the digitization of the library’s special collections, as well as other state and national historic collections.
Now a resident of Pendleton, Darius grew up in the town of Calhoun Falls, SC, where he discovered a love for all forms of art at an early age. He pursed and earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Clemson University. As a student, Darius participated in Tiger Band and a martial arts club called Cuong Nhu. Before coming to work for the university, he worked as a textile designer for Mount Vernon Mills in nearby LaFrance, SC, where he designed patterns for woven fabrics such as carpet and upholstery. Outside of work, Darius spends most of his time practicing and now serving as the head instructor for the Cuong Nhu Club that he joined as a student.
