Just a few miles away from campus, a relaxing retreat awaits you! The Employee Recognition Day/Employee of the Year Reception is right around the corner (almost literally).
Come relax and join the fun at this gorgeous, lakeside sanctuary at Clemson University Outdoor Lab.
We hope you will attend this celebration for all Clemson Libraries’ Employees. Enjoy food, friendship, fun, and be treated and recognized for all your hard work and the talent you bring to the Clemson Libraries.
Enjoy a few photos of what you have to look forward to!
Just a reminder requesting our (May) graduating student assistants to complete a bookplate form. The Library also has a gift for each graduate. Please let us know if we have any soon-to-be graduates! Ask your student employee complete the form (http://library.clemson.edu/depts/staffweb/bookplate-request/) as soon as possible so that the bookplates and gifts can be prepared. Photo ops will need to be scheduled as well.
Student workers may only be paid with Federal Work-Study (FWS) funds for work performed through the last day of classes, Friday, April 26, 2019. Students who will continue to work during the summer MUST be transferred to 100% departmental funds (account 5150) effective April 27, 2019.
**Please note that the FWS program will not offer FWS funding for this summer.
There is so much hustle and bustle surrounding the holiday season, starting with Thanksgiving and going right through Hanukkah, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. Lots of parties; gatherings of friends, colleagues, and family; shopping for gifts; and STRESS. What if you could separate out the gatherings with friends and colleagues and do it in MAY instead of DECEMBER? Well, now you can! Join us on Monday, May 6th from 11-1 in R.M. Cooper Room 309 for a Drop-In Christmas Cookie Extravaganza!*
Drop by to sample some tasty homemade treats, and vote for your favorite. (As with past events, “prizes” include accolades and bragging rights.) Even if you don’t bring any cookies, there will be plenty available for sampling. If you would like to participate by baking, please let us one of us know by May 1st so that we can coordinate. Note that ALL cookies are welcome, including bar cookies and brownies. As are treats from any other cultural tradition. Be creative!

If you have ideas as to how we can promote recycling during the upcoming peak periods, please share. Trash build-up is frequently a problem but more important we want to encourage students to recycle!
