July 1st marks two important events in Clemson’s history.  Fifty years ago today, on July 1, 1964, Clemson College officially became Clemson University. And 207 years ago, on July 1, 1807, Thomas Green Clemson was born. Happy Birthday Clemson University and Thomas Green Clemson !
