The Staff Performance Management Program is utilized by Clemson University to evaluate FTE classified employees on a regular basis. The purpose of the evaluation is to assess and review an employee’s job performance. Employees are rated on job and university objectives, job functions and performance characteristics. For each completed evaluation, a Planning Stage accompanies the EPMS. The Planning Stage outlines goals and objectives for the upcoming evaluation period and reflects the employee’s current responsibilities/duties. The completed EPMS serves as a written record of the review for the employee, his/her supervisor and the official university personnel file.
An Employee Performance Management System training is available for your review in a PowerPoint.
It is important to use SMART Goals during the performance management process.
